The choreographic enquiry uses the elements of time, space, gravity, momentum, energy and light to explore the universal concerns of humanity via individual sensitivity. The movement process employs the notion of tricking the body into experiencing the new either through fatigue or exposure to natural and built elements. Using the device of ‘illusion’ and technical form founded in the Classical arts, improvisation, forms and image, inter-cultural play a reconstructive discourse.

  • tension between stillness and motion
  • listen to organs growing
  • hanging branch caught in tree, which suddenly drops
  • a falling leaf startles you
