Russell Milledge

Investigating the dynamics of our contemporary environment. Contained within cultural identity are notions of displacement, postcolonialism, exchange, colonisation of gestures, cultural leakage and currency. The tenets of my creative work have been through motivation and desire in respect to our landscapes. Through curatorial and performance work such as Distance Between Worlds and Linkage Leakage, the performative nature of collaboration is able to transgress into new realms of expression. Collaboration becomes part of the basis for gestural language informing lifestyle and communication.
